Add user: username forbidden to contain "." (dot) , side effects, ValidationErrors

Description

After updating from 22.12.2 to 22.12.3.1 new users cannot be created with a "." in the username anymore. see screenshot.

this also causes side effects for existing users with dots:

  • group membership cannot be updated before username does not conform to new username rules, so the user must be renamed

  • SMB home drive then does not work anymore, because the user directory needs to be renamed manually as well

pls tell me if a debug file has been attached, because the corresponding button was checked, yet the automation message says it is still needed?
