I do want to make sure that FreeNAS is usable in Proxmox. If you have no problems using UEFI to boot the VM, I see the configuration change as the most straightforward resolution. The reason is that we can not provide support for your Proxmox configuration at this time. I do not have a Proxmox server nor any experience with it.
Our boot loader in 11.3 is up to date with the latest stable/11 boot loader in FreeBSD. If BIOS booting in Proxmox is of particular interest to you, I recommend following up with the FreeBSD project by testing newer versions of FreeBSD in Proxmox. If you find a discrepancy in the behavior, please do report back here. Otherwise, the FreeBSD developers most familiar with the boot loader should find a bug report in their bug tracker helpful.

Why do you closed the ticket with 'User Configuration Error ' ?
Is a bug in the bootloader.

Reinstalled the VM using UEFI.
Now everything is fine, the VM boots without problems.
Thank you.

I upgraded to 11.3. Same problem.
The error message is modified (please see the screenshot).

No, it was 11.2. I don't remember which update.
I will try to reinstall using UEFI, maybe it will work.
Hello,
I cannot boot the OS anymore.
I'm receiving the errors from the screenshots.
The OS is installed in a proxmox VM with two virtual disks and 4 physical disks in RAID10.
The first virtual disk is used for the OS, the second for 'system dataset'.
If I boot the OS with only the virtual disks, the OS boots fine.
If I attach also the physical disks, start the VM, then I receive the errors from the screenshots.
In order to use the OS, I'm booting without the physical disks and after the OS boots I hotplug them.
I checked the filesystems and I found 0 errors.
Thank you.
