Some members of the community uses SNMP to monitor their FreeNAS/TrueNAS instance to assist in providing the most uptime as possible. This works well for the many of the internal components and ZFS statistics however much of the hard drive data is not included.
Clearly FreeNAS/TrueNAS tracks at least the temperature data however none of that data is available through SNMP. Having access to that data would allow the admins to make sure drives stay within an acceptable range for the items that matter most.
