again: rename home share

Description

I see the home shares successfully as user names in smb-mounts. But I have already a home-dir with the same name by an other server and that is confusing.

My idea is to add a server specific info to home-share name like this:

server.name

How can I do this in ver. 11.3-p6
Thanks very much ...

Hi Andrew, the announced fine tuning in Ver 12 is exactly what I imagined. Now I'm waiting ...
... or is there a workaround to configure the SMB service without smashing FreeNas totally ?

Greetings from Bavaria

Thank you for reporting this suggestion for improvement. We have limited options for how to auto-generate directories for "homes". Any change to defaults regarding how paths are generated for these shares can break SMB access for current users of this feature.

That said, in 12.0 we are introducing a feature to allow users to add a configurable "path_suffix" for SMB shares. This will allow you to fine-tune how paths are auto-generated.
