Unfortunately we dont plan on adding anything like that for CORE.
Upcoming SCALE already has UI settings for Apps.

Thank you. As-is, the just-updated version of the Zoneminder plug-in (in the master branch) uses settings.json. Feel free to use when testing.

This is a missing feature we were considering implementing at a future date. I will go ahead move this over from bug to feature request, and add to our backlog for later review.

I am working on adding settings to control SSL/TLS in the Zoneminder plugin. I cannot see them anywhere in the FreeNAS UI. I also tried to see if other plugins' settings.json affect the FreeNAS UI but I cannot see that either.
For example, Quasselcore specifies a good number of options in its settings.json. I expected to be able to set/change them when fetching/installing the plug in, but none of them show anywhere I could see. Further, after installing the plug-in, there is no UI to change or see them.
Am I missing something or am I wasting my time developing settings.json that cannot be accessed anywhere in the UI at the moment? Many thanks for any suggestions.
