OpenVPN Issue

Description

Connecting to OpenVPN Server fails. Connecting with OpenVPN Connect on a Windows 10 machine. The service runs and says it is operational. The windows client was configured from downloading the client config from the setup area of the server. I am using the native service on the OS for the server. I have searched forms and videos online but there seems to be none. Which tells me either its super easy to do and its just a ID10T error or that its extremely new to TrueNAS. I have port forwarded 1194 to the physical box's internal IP. Attached are a few things that may help you, help me. I would like to not create a jail for it but maybe I will have to. Any help is greatly appreciated. P.S. I switched from XCP-ng to TrueNAS and am really liking this OS.

Previously put this in the wrong type. I did not see an option to delete it.

if there are any other issues, please let me know. Closing this out as the original issue description is working as intended now and was a configuration issue.

please use Openvpn server profile when creating openvpn server certificate and it should populate the extensions automatically.

So I was able to originally get it connected by changing the remote system IP from the client config that is generated with notepad++. This was shortly after submitting the issue. It had my private IP filled in there instead. Once I changed that, it worked. That was in the initial phase of me standing up TrueNas. I am now at the point where I am solidifying permanent changes to it. Like securing HTTPS, setting up a ddns service, etc. I then reworked the certs and CA's. Now when I try to start the VPN server as a service, it gives me the following error "Server certificate must have "TLS Web Server Authentication" set in ExtendedKeyUsage extension." I see no extension selection that says anything about TLS.

I tried reproducing this in windows with openvpn connect and have not been able to do so. It works nicely for me, please see attached screenshot.
