/auth/check_user always returns false

Description

I've create a test user account and am passing the correct username and password to the /auth/check_user API, however it always returns false.

Is this API method functional?

 - Got it.  Downloaded the new API openapi.json into Postman and see the new method.  Thanks!

 the endpoint for other users is different, please see API docs - it is "check_password" now

I've upgraded to TrueNAS CORE 12.0-U6 which is supposed to have this issue fixed.  However, sending the API still returns false for the test account with known good credentials.
