Same result after building with "Adapt to using debian EFI image" reverted.

gdisk reports the following problem, which probably explains the warning about the partition table being invalid (since the ISO was written to a bigger USB stick the end doesn't line up):
I don't expect this causes the lack of grub menu though.

I built an installer ISO and it does not boot in UEFI mode. It loads grub and falls to a prompt instead of showing the menu and booting after a timeout. Legacy BIOS booting works as expected.
