When configuring the UPS service, there is a checkbox in the "shutdown" category for "Power Off UPS". I believe this modifies the line "POWERDOWNFLAG /etc/nokillpower" in "/etc/nut/upsmon.conf". However, the presence of this line at all (regardless of whether it is "/etc/nokillpower" or "/etckillpower") results in my UPS powering off before TrueNAS can shutdown safely. Removing this line, results in a clean TrueNAS shutdown without powering off the UPS.
However, after a reboot, this line is added back into upsmon.conf. And since this line is specifically used during a shutdown when UPS is on battery power, it is not a useful work around to manually remove this line every time TrueNAS restarts.
Suggestion: remove the entire line when "Power Off UPS" is unchecked, rather than simply chaning it from 'killpower' to 'nokillpower'.
