Samba Share ACL resets to Everyone when disabled and re-enabled

Description

When you set a SMB share ACL, disable the share and then enable it again,

the ACL of the share resets back to the default Everyone (S-1-1-0).

Having a complex SMB share ACL replaced with access for everyone, might prove quite inconvenient!

Don’t know how that was missed…

I don’t think this issue requires a debug file, as is evident in pull request.

Just glad that I could be of help identifying this issue.

Thank you for the report, .

Can you please attach a debug file from your system?

To generate a debug file on TrueNAS CORE, log in to the TrueNAS web interface, go to System > Advanced, then click Save Debug and wait for the file to download to your local system.

To upload the file, click the Attach button at the top of the ticket. Another way to upload the files is to click the triple dots at the top of the right side panel, then Actions Menu. Select Attach and locate the file to upload the file.

Note: All upload’s security levels are set to Private automatically.
