Legacy versions of FreeNAS (see pages 129-130 of the 11.2 user guide) used to have options in the UI to run replication tasks as a non-root account. The UI options were removed in FreeNAS 11.3 and later, although it appears that the ability to do a replication as a non-root account is still possible through CLI commands (2021 commit).
Now that SCALE is moving towards allowing non-root users to administrate the system, would it be appropriate to add back the UI option to select a user account to run replication tasks?
