It seems you’ve manually added -d nvme
to the smart extra options for your nvme drives. Not sure why you would do that but that’s the cause for why smartd won’t start. We already properly detect nvme drives and add the necessary arguments.

have you manually added smart options for your nvme drives? It seems you have based on the configuration output that you’ve given me. Please make sure that you don’t have any extra smart options manually defined for the nvme disks and if you do, remove them. Then use the webUI to restart the smart service.

interesting. If you run midclt call etc.generate smartd
and then run cat /etc/smartd.conf
can you paste it to this ticket again?

Hi, i tryed to restart manually the smart service but I had this error. I tryed to reboot the nas but it won't start. This is the error! Thank you!
