From the logs looks like your nextcloud directories does not have the correct permissions/ownership.

It should be accessible from user:group `www-data:www-data` (id 33).
Also nextcloud wants the data dir to have 770 for permissions
770 means:
User: Read,Write,Execute
Group: Read,Write,Execute
Others: None

Let me know if that worked.


This is usually handled by nextcloud at initial startup,
I assume you trying to do a restore or a migration of another instance?

If you try to use an empty directory that was previously used by other nextcloud instance, there might be hidden leftover files such as .htaccess that you probably need to also cleanup. At least .htaccess shows up in the logs as not being accessible.

You can view nextcloud logs to see if something stands out, by going to Apps > Installed Apps > Select the 3-dots button in the nextcloud card > Select Logs.
For pod Select the one that do not have postgres in it’s name.
For container select nextcloud
