Excellent! The BETA releases Tuesday, suggest you re-install with that if this still proves stable for you. I’ll close this out in the meantime. If you run into new failures with Cobia, please grab a debug from the system and attach with another ticket.

Hi Kris thank you for the quick feedback. The installation of the nightly image of Cobia worked without problems and the server is now back online. I hope it will stay like this for the next hours/days.

At first glance that sure does sound like some sort of hardware issue with the chain of events you’ve experienced, very odd. To rule that out, can you try installing this nightly image of Cobia?

This is using a newer Linux 6.1 kernel which supports later hardware. Maybe something has been fixed related to your specific setup.
Let me know if that one will install!

After installing Truenas Scale the boot process hangs because the middleware cannot be started. With Truenas Core the installation aborts shortly after the selection of the disk with the error Fatal Trap 12. I have used several drives (SSDs, HDDs, NVME, USB) for the installation to exclude an error here. In addition, I have run a memory test several times which was always passed without error. I also exchanged the RAM with the one from my PC and the memory test ran without error. The installations broke off nevertheless or the boot process cannot be completed. In the BIOS, the RAM is also recognized without problems.
As hardware I use the following.
ASUS ROG B550-I Gaming
AMD Ryzen 5 4500
Corsair Vengence LPX DDR4 2x8GB
The system already had Truenas Scale installed in an older version. This ran without problems. After updating to a newer version, the system began restarding after max 2 days and after a certain time could no longer boot because the middleware could not be started. Since this point I could not make a new installation because there the errors occur as described above. The scale version with which the system ran I unfortunately no longer know.
I hope someone can help me here.
