i tried the process and i was not able to reproduce

However after that i saw that in your system advanced settings you have it explicitly configured as "Welcome to TrueNAS Core"..so this should be an easy fix and you can change motd from your advanced system settings

I would love to provide the screen shot but I’ve already corrected the message via the GUI. I did however grab a debug and have uploaded it. Glad I saved it. If you need me to try to reproduce it, just let me know, I can give it a shot. I have not deleted my previous boot image.

I upgraded from TrueNAS Core 13.0-U6 to SCALE 23.10.0.1 and when I login to SSH, I am greeted with "Welcome to TrueNAS Core" message. This is a very minor thing and I'm sure the migration team is still working this stuff out.
