The option to set a user/group combo was available always, but during a migration that I did recently I realized it wasn’t actually using those values.
So in a sense it is a recent change.
Glad it’s working now, I’ll go ahead and close it now!

@Stavros Kois Thanks for pointing that out, it looks like that wasn’t required before and now it.
I updated the access from modify to full control and it seems to be able to connect and import photos now.
Thanks for the help.
I initially assumed the program the app would request that access.
Was that a recent change?

Does the import
directory allow 568:568
to read and write?
(568 is what I see that photoprism runs as)

Attached are the logs for the one that is updated and is having the permission issue.
I checked and it looks like the program has full access to the all the host paths.

1. updated photoprism
2. Upload new photo thru browser, and error show permission issue
3. Tried to connect with photosync app with out changing setup.
3.1 photosync app can't connect to photoprism and gives and error
expected 207 multi-status, got 200 OK
