I just had the exact same problem at the time of writing. I observed file corruption while transferring files with samba, while ssh worked just fine, weird. After that I tried turning on encryption which completely crashed smb after transferring some MBs, maybe an issue with the new samba version.
I am going to attach my coredump and debug..

Core files for executables have been found in /var/db/system/cores/.Please open the shell, copy any core files present in /var/db/system/cores/ and then generate a system debug. Next, create a ticket at https://ixsystems.atlassian.net/ and attach the core files and debug. After creating the ticket, the core files can be removed from the system by opening shell and entering 'rm /var/db/system/cores/*'.
As requested, core file has been attached. This occurred on TrueNAS-SCALE-24.10.0.1.
