This is because you have the debug kernel enabled. We do not build nvidia drivers for the debug kernel. Turn off debug kernel, reboot, and it will work. Please see our documentation and release notes.

I have passkey encrypted application-dataset, which I unlock after every restart and it worked as expected. After updating to 24.10.1 the Nvidia Drivers fail to communicate with nvidia-smi.
1. Steps to reproduce
update from 24.10.0.2 to 24.10.1
on 24.10.1 unlock pool
run `nvidia-smi`
2. Expected result
display nvidia-smi output and detect the GPU
3. Actual result
NVIDIA-SMI has failed because it couldn't communicate with the NVIDIA driver. Make sure that the latest Nvidia driver is installed and running.
What I tried and has not worked:
Uncheck then Check Install NVIDIA Drivers in the Apps → Configure → Settings. Same result.
Many reboots.
Unchecking driver install and running nvidia-smi resulted in it being an unrecognizable command. Checking it and running nvidia-smi resulted in the error above.
Booting back to 24.10.0.2, deleting the 24.10.1 update and updating again.
Fresh install of 24.10.1 and restoring config.
Fresh install of 24.10.1 without restoring config.
Fresh installing 24.10.0.2, restoring config and updating to 24.10.1.
Choosing/Unsetting the application pool.
What I tried and worked:
selecting `Advanced options for TrueNAS Scale GNU/Linux 24.10.2` in the GRUB menu. But the issue persists if going back to the default menu.
