What phone/os and browser are you using?

Daniel 3 days ago

I'm on my local network and I don't have connection issues. I can reliably connect to other websockets on the same vlan from my phone which is on a different Vlan without these issues when doing simple browser changes or opening a modal.

Currently I have Traefik in front of the web UI but even directly over IP to the web UI I still got this error.

Generally Connecting to TrueNAS message is shown when websocket connection to TrueNAS is dropped. I’ll investigate more, but the most obvious reason could be bad mobile internet connection.

What device / network conditions are you using?

This seems to be a general UI issue on mobile. Anytime a modal is opened for a few seconds, tab changed, app window changed (putting the browser in the background).

This happens “Connecting to TrueNAS ... Make sure the TrueNAS system is powered on and connected to the network.”

I think on mobile whatever the setting is that triggers this is too aggressive. Maybe for a desktop it's fine but on Mobile it's awful.
