Thank you for your report, !
It sounds like you have a cache issue for the documentation hub as we recently, the week before Christmas update this article.
I’m going to close this issue ticket and open a documentation ticket to address any other issues with article content.

There are multiple issues present on https://www.truenas.com/docs/scale/gettingstarted/install/consolesetupmenuscale/, but the most notable is that it says you can start the Console setup menu (CSM) under SCALE by running `/etc/netcli`. This is false; that command starts the CORE CSM, not the SCALE CSM (see also https://ixsystems.atlassian.net/browse/NAS-119585). The command to start the SCALE CSM is `/usr/bin/cli --menu`.
Second, the options listed don't match what's in SCALE 22.12; option 4 now reads "Change local administrator password."
Third, under the heading of "Configuring Required Network Settings," there's inexplicably a screen shot of the output of `network interface query` at the TrueNAS CLI. No explanation is given for why this is present, and it doesn't match the introductory text above it (which reads, "Go the [sic] Network screen," in the context of the CSM).
Fourth, that section contains zero information about how to actually configure the required network settings; it says only, "Select the interface to use as your primary network interface and the settings to use." And since the interface to configure a static IP address (which would be the primary task done there) is totally unintuitive--as a five-month-old comment on that page observes--this section needs to be fleshed out a bit.
Fifth, while this page is titled, "Console Setup Menu Configuration," it instructs users to use the web UI to complete the configuration, which would seem to defeat the purpose of the page.
Sixth, this page directs users to use Google's 8.8.8.8 as the system's DNS server. While this is not necessarily a bad choice, there are plenty of others that would be better. To name just a few: (1) the ISP's DNS servers, (2) the IP address of the user's router (which almost always acts as a caching DNS server), (3) Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1, (4) Quad9 at 9.9.9.9.
